He’s a sweetheart of a dog. For a puppy, he has one of the best temperaments I’ve ever seen. He is willing to learn, and takes chastisement to heart, promising to never offend again. He also has a problem with short term memory. He is a puppy and will chew on furniture, slippers, underwear, glasses cases, my foot and arms, as well as treats. Having said this, he is easily distracted and takes “no” well. He is very active and wants to run. He will definitely need someone who is on the move a lot – like a 10 year old – and absolutely a fenced yard. Gus will make close to the perfect companion, as all he asks is all the Puppy Chow in the world, occasional treats, and lots and lots of love, which is easily given.
